I. Design task
  1. It is used for positioning automobile shock absorber. It will weld 3 welding junctions of liquid storage tank stabilizer rod bracket, hose brackets and 3 welding junctions of two ABS brackets.
  2. The welding width is uniform.The overlapping amount of circular welding is adjustable, and the welding seam is beautiful.
  3. In the whole length of welding, there are no welding defects, such as air hole, no penetration, dent, burn through, slag inclusion, undercut, etc.
  4. Welding length must reach design value. Each workpiece has the same welding length and position.
  5. Air tightness demand after welding: soaking in water 10 seconds at a pressure greater than 1.2 MPa, welding seam will not leak. 
  6. Qualified rate by one time of welding is higher than 99%. It’s required that the welding process is continuous and stable, with uniform and beautiful shape, thickness and width of fusion will meet welding requirements, clamping is convenient.
  7. Production efficiency: less than 20s/pcs
  8. This part needs fixture positioning and to be welded in three places.
  9. These three positions are fixed by electric resistance welding,further to weld them by MIG.
II. Basic Concept
  1. Welding torch can be moved up and down with a certain angle. Welding position is horizontal.
  2. Workpiece is clamped by chuck. Fixture rotates along with workpiece, to ensure that the welding position does not shift.
  3. The machine has high voltage and slow wire feeding performance, which guarantees reliable arc igniting. Machine also has low welding voltage and low current for filling crater.
  4. It adopts push-type wire feeding mode, to guarantee feeding stability.
  5. PLC controls the whole machine operation. Workpiece rotation speed is adjusted by inverter, stepless adjustment, to improve the reliability.
  6. The welding mode and welding specification can be preset, saved and recalled. Via touch man-machine interface, it is convenient to modify the parameter and switch the status through the man-machine touch screen.
  7. Welding torch can be adjusted up and down, left and right and angled turn to meet welding requirement.
III. Equipment Structure
The welding machine chooses closed structure. It is composed of the enclosed body, welding torch moving mechanism, welding torch  feeding mechanism, fixture positioning and conductive mechanism, welding torch clamping mechanism, electrical control system, welding power source and pneumatic system.
